star wars: life lessons

star wars movies made me realize that there is more to life than wanting to become who i want to be. i've learned alot of lessons from these films and i hope you guys did too.

it's a matter of pursuing your dreams by not hurting anyone you truly love.
sure, ani may left his mom for him to become a jedi but he came back for her in just the nick of time. he may want to have great power because he thought that could save his beloved wife, padmé. we all make mistakes.

padmé: i'm not going to die in childbirth, anakin. I promise you.
anakin: no, I promise you.

yes, he have made some bad decisions but i said to myself, "he will do everything he can do just to save padmé even if his life is at stake. the only problem is, getting to the dark side will not solve everything." it's all about making good decisions.

doing something bad will not make the situation good. it'll make it worse.
that's also one out of the many lessons i've learned while watching star wars.

anakin: I won't lose you the way I lost my mother. I am becoming more powerful than any Jedi has ever dreamed of, and I'm doing it for you: to protect you.

risks. that's what ani took when he married padmé. he knew the consequences yet he still continued it coz he is truly in love with her. [who wouldn't? natalie portman is really pretty. and oh, i'm not a lesbian.] he is willing to be with her inspite of him being a jedi and her being a senator.

anakin: don't be afraid.
padmé: i'm not afraid to die. i've been dying a little bit each day since you came back into my life.
anakin: what are you talking about?
padmé: I LOVE YOU.
anakin: you love me? i thought we decided not to fall in love? that we'd be forced to live a lie and that it would destroy our lives?
padmé: i think our lives are about to destroyed anyway. i truly.. deeply.. love you and before we die, i want you to know.

luke and anakin taught me the 5 greatest values:

Love
Respect
Patience
Honesty
Trust

these films also taught me that i can't have anything i want to have and i can't be anything i want to be. there is always a border line and i've learned not to cross it.

anakin taught me not to be lustful.

anakin: someday i will be the most powerful jedi EVER.

the love of a father- is what darth vader showed luke in episode 6. it was really heartwarming when he turned his back to the dark side just to help luke.
the qui gon jinn was right. anakin was the chosen one to fulfill the prophecy.

anakin: now go. my son, leave me.
luke: no. you're coming with me. i will not leave you here. i will save you.
anakin: you already have, luke. you were right. you were right about me. tell your sister... you were right.
luke: father.. i won't leave you.

even if his dad was a psycho (and is half robot), he still loves him eventhough anakin didn't have the chance to be a father to him.

sacrifice. it's what i learned from hans solo.

han: you love him, don't you?
leia: yes.
han: all right. i understand. fine. when he comes back, i won't get in the way.
leia: oh, han. it's not like that at all. he's my borther.

han solo and luke shared a great bond together and starting from episode 4 to 6. i love how han cared for luke and was walways there for him every battle and how luke saved han's life from the clutches of jabba the hut.

all these i learned from watching star wars: the whole saga.
