Max is almost like every other girl out there. she's 14 years old, has responsibilities, falls in love, makes huge decisions for the good of all, has regrets and made enemies. but there's something in Max and her non biological siblings that we don't have. they have wings. 

they are 98% human and 2% bird. 

and they are on the run. trying to escape from the clutches of evil.

anyway, Maximum Ride is one of the best series i have ever read. you should give it a shot, though. also, Fang is cooler than your sparkling Edward Cullen since God knows when. he can srsly kick his ass anytime.
